Gilding or “leafing” is the process of applying a thin veneer of gold leaf, silver or copper. This beautiful techinque is often used to make elegant ceilings glow. We have the ability to wrap an entire ceiling, custom millwork, or even small accessories and furniture. Silver leaf is one of our most requested ceiling treatments. Our exclusive process allows us to tonally adjust the shade of leafing to create that exact shade of gold or silver and patina that the client is looking for. From antique silver leaf to a patina’d grey all the way to palladium gold – anything is possible. Leafing can be done in a number of styles like squares, random texture, broken, or even distressed and textured to look like an old mirror.
